Russian beautician fights for life after wild dogs tear off her face: report

A 20-year-old Russian beautician was torn apart by a pack of wild dogs who ripped her face, chewed meat off her limbs and took off all her clothes in frozen Eastern Siberia, according to a report.

Tatyana Loskutnikova was savagely attacked by the 10 dogs as she walked through the city of Ulan-Ude on Wednesday – before residents who heard her screams chased the animals away, East2West News reported.

The seriously injured woman – who suffered severe blood loss – was carried to a nearby home and then rushed to a hospital, where she was placed in a medically-induced coma and placed on a ventilator, according to the outlet.

Her family said her face was “damaged beyond recognition.”

“The victim is in intensive care after anti-shock therapy,” says Dr. Igor Shpak, Republican Clinical Hospital chief physician.

“Surgeons, neurosurgeons, traumatologists, ENT doctors and maxillofacial surgeons are all fighting for her life,” he added. “The patient was delivered to us in an extremely severe condition with hemorrhagic and painful shock.”

According to the hospital, only her eyes remained on her mutilated face.

Loskutnikova had “multiple torn and bitten wounds on the face, body and limbs,” Shpak said. “The damage percentage is extremely high. Her blood pressure is extremely low. “

Local resident Alexandra Andreevna, who helped save the woman, said she heard screams and barking.

I got dressed, went to the intersection to see. There was a backpack on the floor, ”she said. Then I saw a pack of dogs and a person lying on the ground. There were about 10 dogs, maybe more. “

Andreevna said the woman was no longer screaming.

“She was conscious, but apparently she couldn’t scream anymore because of the pain,” she said, adding that she used a stick to knock the crazy dogs away and banged on a fence to warn others.

“We dragged her to my house. She was wearing no clothes, just boots, ‘Andreevan said.

Her body was bitten in places in the tendons and bones. Her face was bitten too, covered in blood. The eyeballs were visible, ”she added.

Loskutnikova’s brother, Vladislav, posted that she had been attacked on her way to a clinic.

“The bites were deep, down to the bone, the soft tissues of her face were damaged beyond recognition,” he wrote. “Tanya is a young and very promising girl, she is only 20 years old.”

According to East2West News, police have shot the 10 dogs whose remains are being checked for possible rabies infection.
