Washington – The Orlando Magic defeated the Washington Wizards 130-120 on Saturday, despite another triple-double by Russell Westbrook, who made his debut in his new home.
Westbrook had 15 points, the same number of rebounds and 12 assists. He became the fourth player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double in his team’s first two games in a season.
Magic Johnson did it twice, while Jerry Lucas and Oscar Robertson completed the list. Westbrook is the first player to accomplish this feat with a new team.
It was taken over by Washington in a trade that sent John Wall to Houston.
