But all new games are years away
Building on comments previously made by Bloober Team that it is working on a new horror game with a “very famous game publisher,” Video Games Chronicle has updated its story claiming that Japanese publisher Konami is planning its Metal Gear Solid to outsource. and Castlevania franchises that other developers can use. All new entries in the two series are years away for now, but company bosses are said to be more open to the idea of having remote teams work on the IPs after the poor performance of Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps.
VGC argues that this change of heart has resulted in the Silent Hill franchise being developed by a “prominent Japanese developer.” The site doesn’t quite refute speculation surrounding Bloober Team also working on a new entry in the survival horror series, but suggests there may be two titles in production. One of them will be unveiled this summer.
