A Rockstar Games employee may have just accidentally leaked a new game, which of course has not only attracted attention GTA and Red Dead Redemption fans, but fans of Rockstar Games’ dormant IP address, like Bully, Manhunt, and Max Payne. And it also caught the attention of Rockstar Games themselves, as the leak has now been covered, but not before the internet got the receipt.
The leak comes down the path of Ian Gander, a senior designer at Rockstar Games who has worked with the company for nearly 10 years and who recently updated their LinkedIn profile to remove the aforementioned leak. Now, if you look at Gander’s LinkedIn profile, nothing matters, but before the edit it said, “Unannounced Title (s): TBC.”
Unfortunately, this has also been revealed to Gander. In other words, while we seemingly know that Rockstar Games has an unannounced project in the works, we have no idea what franchise it could be, although Rockstar’s history and all the recent rumors and reports suggest it likely is GTA 6. However, it can also be Bully 2, a reboot of Manhunt, Red Dead Redemption 3, or even a new IP. Again, more likely than not, is the unannounced game that Rockstar is working on Grand Theft Auto VIthat’s a gimmie though. In other words, it makes no sense to refer to GTA 6 as an unannounced and TBC title, because we all know Rockstar is making a new one Grand Theft Auto game, which is why some think this could be for an IP that is not GTA or red death.
Now take everything here with a grain of salt. Right now we are in deep speculative territory and there is no indication what this mysterious project is. Of course, Rockstar Games has – at the very least – one unannounced game in development, as they don’t have any announced games at the moment. And while there is reason to believe that it is not red death or GTA related, chances are it is.
