Rocket League announced the return of Rocket Labs, which brings its experimental arenas to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Nintendo Switch game as a limited-time mode. With Rocket Labs, players have the opportunity to drastically change the playing field of arenas with different obstacles and even change the shape of the field. Think of it as a map editor that will unfortunately only be in play for a limited and indefinite time.
According to Psyonix and Epic Games, the new Rocket Labs playlist – which is live at the time of writing – will only be available for a limited time, but it will return at different times in the future, with new types of arenas each time.
For this weekend, the playlist features’ Soccar on Galleon ‘, which is described as’ a return to an arena originally found in Supersonic aerobatic rocket propelled combat vehicles, “the game’s predecessor.

The Galleon is available until Monday January 18. And it sounds like it’s going Rocket Labs goes with it. Psyonix notes that the mode will be back in the future, but does not provide further details on when it will be back and how often it will return.
