Exclusive to the next generation Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart releases on PS5 on June 11 Insomniac Games announced on the PlayStation Blog today.
The action platformer, announced last June, will be a showpiece for PlayStation’s new hardware, including levels where players jump seamlessly between multiple worlds, something that wouldn’t have been possible on the PS4.
In addition, the game will have two graphics modes, one plays the game in 4K at 30 fps and one plays the game at 60 fps and a ‘lower resolution’. Unlike some other Sony exclusive products, including last year’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and this year is coming Horizon Forbidden West, Rift Apart not coming to PS4.
PS4 owners looking to fill up with anthropomorphic animals making high-tech jokes can always check out 2016’s excellent remake of the first game in the Ratchet and Clank series. That game is also available for free to paid PlayStation Plus subscribers on PS5 as part of it the PS Plus collection of the new console.
