Ricardo Rosselló buys a $ 1.2 million house and works for a company that had contracts with the government of Puerto Rico

After being forced to resign from the governorship of Puerto Rico in the summer of 2019 and after years of silence, Ricardo Rosselló offered an interview to The New York Times newspaper detailing how he had to reboot his life.

In the article, Rosselló reveals that after living in AirBnB apartments and accommodations for a year, he bought a $ 1.2 million property on the outskirts of Washington DC and works as a consultant in a company called My Business Matches , it is committed to providing cloud services. The interview also indicates that this company based in San Antonio, Texas, belongs to a person he collaborated with on his father’s campaigns.

The company also had contracts with the government of Puerto Rico.

The outgoing governor also said he is investing in a Chinese company to develop treatments for COVID-19.

Rosselló told the newspaper the most tense moments he faced in light of the protests that emerged in the summer of 2019 when the Telegram chat was revealed in which he, along with other leaders of his government, made fun of government officials.

As the protests progressed, the then-governor knew he had to resign when traveling by car with his family, the vehicle fell into a hole on one of the country’s highways and his youngest daughter, Claudia, thought they had been shot.

“Obviously, he couldn’t protect her,” Rosselló said. “That was when it really came out,” he said.

The former governor also spoke about the Hurricane María trial in Puerto Rico, acknowledging that the deaths during the event hurt him, although the victims of the tragic event were not correctly counted at the time. Rosselló also realizes how difficult it has been for him and his family to rebuild their lives.
