Restaurant and store staff share the best, mean-spirited revenge they’ve had on rude customers, from dusting off crops to switching their espresso to decaf.

TikTok user Darron Cardosa posed the question on the app this weekend, asking other users, “What have you done to a customer after they’ve been rude to you?”

Dozens have responded, revealing the insignificant, ridiculous ways they’ve created minor inconveniences for customers who could have been more police.

While some stories reveal dismissable violations, others can never reasonably be blamed on the employee.

Darron, for instance, has never technically done anything wrong – he just went out of his way to make his customers’ experience a little less pleasant than it might have been.

“ As a server, sometimes when rude customers ask for butter, I give them cold butter even though I have room temperature butter because I know the cold butter will tear their bread, ” he revealed.

Ebony Mallinson, meanwhile, confessed, “I don’t mix their smoothies enough so that the small pieces block their straws.”

McKenzie Morrison had a similar little tactic, which the customers might not even notice, but at least it made McKenzie feel better.

“ As a deli, if a customer is a Karen, I squeeze the cheese after I cut it, so it’s impossible to separate later, ” she said.

“I work in a grocery store,” said a woman named Rachael Hendrick in her video. “If rude customers don’t wear a mask, I’ll spray fart spray down the aisle.”

User @bree_ann_uhh, meanwhile, said she and her fellow servers chose the real thing.

“Call to all servers,” she wrote. ‘We cut dust for rude customers – especially when it’s busy and loud and the music is on and they certainly don’t hear you. We harvest dust. ‘

Canadian flight attendant Helena Handbasket said, “For rude customers, I book their airplane seat on a 10-hour flight next to the bathroom.”

A TikToker named Sammie not only retaliated for rudeness, but she held a police officer accountable.

“A cop came into my shop without a mask in his uniform,” she said. “I said,” Sir, next time you come in, put on a mask. ” He looked me dead in the eye and said, “I have a medical condition. What are you going to do about it?”

I looked at his badge and later called the police and told them. Since then he wears a mask every time he enters. Every time.’

However, some behaviors would likely have gotten employees into trouble if their bosses had heard about it.

Stephanie Crnkovich said that when she worked as a barista, she would give rude customers decaffeinated espresso instead of regular ones.

Geza Daniel Molnar said that while working at a hotel, he encountered guests who arrived late who did not tip him when he helped with their luggage.

“So I called them in the middle of the night,” he said.

User Chelsea Dickinson spilled her fiendish trick, revealing, “I used to double charge them so they had to wait at customer service to get their money back.”

And user @ heather.blr did something similar in the supermarket where she worked,

“There were a lot of rude customers – I even had people throw food at me and laugh about it,” she said.

So I fix it for them eventually. I hear the whole party cheering. The man on the phone says, “Thank you! What’s your name?” and I said to him, “Javier.” He says, “Thank you,” then calls me a racist insult and hangs up.

So I turn off the fight on his TV and leave notes for other employees not to turn it back on. The next day I see he had been calling all night to get the fight going again, and no one turned it on for him. I win.’
