Responsible for explosion in Nashville sent material to acquaintances

Before he was killed in a Christmas Day explosive attack that devastated several blocks of downtown Nashville, Anthony Warner sent material about his views to his acquaintances, federal investigators revealed.

In a statement to The Associated Press, FBI agent Jason Pack said on Saturday that authorities “know the suspect has sent material to defend his views to various acquaintances across the country.”

Authorities have said that 63-year-old Anthony Warner was responsible for the explosion that damaged dozens of buildings and injured several people. Warner died in the explosion in his RV, the causes of which have not been determined by investigators.

Pack did not provide further details on the contents of the packages shipped by Warner, but urged anyone who received the material to contact the FBI.

The explosion occurred on Christmas morning long before the streets of downtown Nashville were filled with activity. Police were attending a report of an alleged shooting in the area on Friday when they discovered a mobile home that was announced on a recording that a bomb would detonate within 15 minutes. Then, inexplicably, shortly before the eruption, the audio switched to Petula Clark’s 1964 hit “ Downtown. ”
