A Republican club from New York responded on Tuesday outrage over a video show people at a party it organized, gathered in a conga line without masks, subscribing a Facebook post that “adults have the absolute right to make their own decisions.”

The group wrote in its post on social media on Tuesday: “Yes, we had a Christmas party. Everyone had a good time. We have followed all precautions. But we are not the mask police, nor are we the social police.
“Adults have the absolute right to make their own decisions, and it is clear that many chose to communicate as normal people and not as paranoid zombies in hazmat suits,” the club continued. “This is, for some reason, controversial to those who think it is their job to tell us all what to do.
“We all have the inalienable right under the First Amendment to come together peacefully, and that’s what we did,” the post continued. “There is no pandemic clause in the constitution, no matter how much the media and Cuomo want you to believe otherwise.”
“We urge ALL New Yorkers, regardless of political affiliation, to get out and enjoy the vacation in a way that makes them happy and comfortable. Make your own calculated decisions, don’t give in to fear or blindly obey the media and politicians, and respect the decisions of others, ”the organization added.

This is because New York has experienced a new wave of coronavirus infections, especially in Queens. From Tuesday, the State’s Department of Health registered a total of more than 878,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases, with nearly 12,000 newly reported infections on Tuesday alone.
The state also has more than 29,000 deaths from the coronavirus, with more than 5,000 of these in Queens County alone.
The owners of Il Bacco earlier this year filed a class-action lawsuit against city and state officials for banning indoor dining. Restaurant owner Tina Maria Oppedisano told the Queens Daily Eagle that the restaurant followed coronavirus control rules for the Republican club meeting.
“That party was absolutely not in violation. We did exactly as we were told, ”she said. “Every person who entered the company was checked in and underwent a temperature check.”
