Rep. Malliotakis slams Cuomo after tweet about Kavanaugh allegations emerges: he’s a ‘hypocrite’

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-NY., Convicted Governor Andrew Cuomo Thursday as a “ hypocrite ” after a 2018 tweet from the governor about the allegations of sexual assault against Justice Brett Kavanaugh resurfaced.

In the 2018 tweet, Cuomo questioned why Kavanaugh wouldn’t take a lie detector test and called on President Trump to ask after Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexual assault before he was confirmed in the Supreme Court.

On America’s Newsroom, Malliotakis, who previously called on Cuomo to resign after allegations over the cover of deaths in nursing homes, said the governor must give “many answers” to an ex-aide to the Cuomo administration. claimed that Cuomo had sexually harassed her.

When asked if Cuomo should take a lie detector test himself, Malliotakis said “it absolutely should.”

“The governor, he’s a hypocrite, it’s rules for you, but not for me,” Mallitokais said, recalling when Cuomo said there should be zero tolerance in New York State for such allegations in New York State when a assembly was charged in 2013.

“These new allegations only make it more difficult for the governor to proceed.”

Lindsey Boylan, the former assistant secretary for economic development and special adviser to the governor, said that Cuomo was constantly looking for her and that staff members met with her where he made inappropriate comments.

Several ongoing studies continue to examine the impact of Cuomo’s March guideline for nursing homes to receive COVID-19 patients, resulting in thousands of deaths in assisted living facilities.
