Release date, setting and more revealed in new rumor

A new rumor about the following Assassin’s Creed game is making the rounds because of the great (alleged) details it reveals about the PS5, Xbox Series X and PC game. According to the rumor the following Assassin’s Creed game is codenamed Assassin’s Creed Champion and is announced at E3 or a presentation near and such as E3. Added to this, rumor claims that the game won’t be released this year but is actually scheduled for early 2022, and this is notable for a few reasons.

First, it would mean there wouldn’t be any Assassin’s Creed this year, which would mean Ubisoft is bringing back its semi-annual release schedule after breaking with it Odyssey. In the meantime, the rumor says not just anywhere in 2022, but early 2022. Why stands out? Because each good Assassin’s Creed game released in October or November. For some, of course, this can completely debunk the rumor.

Rumor has it that the game will feature a classic European fantasy setting that will take players to both medieval France and medieval Germany. And this is where the most striking details end.

Take everything here with a grain of salt, of course. Not only does all this information come from an anonymous source, but it also contradicts the series’ release pattern and previous rumors of the next installment in the long-running franchise. That said, rumor is circulating within the US Assassin’s Creed community, and, as you may know, many more shoddy rumors have turned out to be true in the past.

At the time of publication, Ubisoft has not responded to this rumor in any capacity, and is unlikely to do so as it has both a strict “no comment” policy when it comes to rumors and because it has not responded to previous rumors about the next episode.
