1. Create an account on the official USCIS website

How do you know the status of your request?

USCIS plans to notify applicants and their representatives with selected records through their USCIS accounts by March 31, 2021. An applicant’s USCIS online account will display one of the following four statuses for each record:

Submitted: The record has been submitted and is eligible for selection. If the initial selection process is completed, the named record will continue to be eligible, unless subsequently declared invalid, to be selected in a subsequent selection in the fiscal year in which it was submitted.
Selected (selected): You have been selected to file an H-1B petition subject to the maximum legal amount.

Not selected: You have not been selected – you are not eligible to file an H-1B petition subject to the maximum legal amount based on such record.

Refused: Multiple registrations have been submitted by or on behalf of the same applicant for the same beneficiary. If it was rejected as a duplicate record, all records submitted by or on behalf of the same applicant for this beneficiary for the fiscal year will be invalid.

Invalid or declined payment: A registration was submitted, but the payment method was declined, not accepted, or invalid.
