R.Eal Madrid fell at home to a disappointing 2-1 defeat Levante on Saturday via goals from Roger Marti and Jose Luis Morales.
Still, Los Blancos cannot complain that they were not warned about the duo.
They each scored in the 2-1 win Real Madrid in the 2018/19 season at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and Morales caused the lone strike in the encounter in Ciutat de Valencia’s last campaign.
Roger is Levantethe top scorer this season with nine, and made up for his penalty miss on Saturday with his team’s winning goal. Moralesfor his part is eight for the season.
Of the 29 goals Levante has scored this season, the duo accounted for 17 of them, representing 63 percent of the team’s goals.
“I was annoyed after missing the penalty that would have put us ahead,” Roger Movistar told LaLiga after the game.
“Thank goodness I was able to score [the goal that made it] 2-1, which gave us confidence to keep going to the end, ”he concludes.
Morales was equally delighted with the hard-fought victory.
“It is not easy [against Madrid], you have to play a very complete game ”, he said after the game.
“We played a very tough game and we have to keep going to gain confidence as some very important games are on the way.”
