Florentino Perez traveled to Turin on Monday for a meeting Andrea Agnelli, Juventus president and president of the European Club Association.
The visit comes after Agnelli has sent an invitation to the Real Madrid president, inviting him to visit the Juventus facilities and talk at this point about all things football, more than likely including the topic of a European Super League.
The idea of a Super League is one that appeals Florentine, which he has made no secret of.
“You have to innovate, look for ideas so that football remains attractive” Perez said during Real Madrid‘s mounting.
“The current model needs a boost, as COVID-19 has shown. It needs a new boost and Real Madrid will be there.
“There is saturation and the fans, most importantly, suffer. There are also consequences for the players.
“Football reform cannot wait. We have to change. Europe’s big teams have millions of fans and we cannot turn our backs on them.”
