MADRID – Luka Jovic will be loaned out to Eintracht Frankfurt until June 30 with the intention of looking at the minutes he doesn’t have at Real Madrid.
Both clubs made the loan official on Wednesday morning.
“Real Madrid CF and Eintracht Frankfurt have agreed to loan player Luka Jović until the end of this season,” the white club confirmed in a statement.
As ESPN has learned, the German club’s interest comes from the summer, but Madrid subsequently turned down the request due to a lack of staff and money to carry out the signing of a warranty replacement.
Jovic returns to the team that enabled him to make the jump to Real Madrid for € 60 million. In the 2018/19 season, the forward scored 27 goals that served to draw the attention of Liverpool, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid themselves.
However, Jovic has not had a good performance or the regularity of asking Zidane himself to show the level he showed in the Bundesliga. In fact, the Serb has barely started this year and a half in eight games, scoring just two goals, against Leganés and Osasuna.
Zidane repeatedly came up for his defense despite criticism of his behavior both on and off the field. The French coach even went so far as to publicly admit that after his great season with Eintracht he had explicitly asked for his signing, but the truth is that in recent times even Mariano the Serb seemed ahead of his preferences.
In this way, Zidane has given the green light for the Serb to resume his good feelings at the club he enjoyed the most, despite the whites being left with only two specific forwards such as Benzema and Mariano for the second round of the season.
