The program Raymond y sus amigos, on Telemundo, was dedicated to the memory of actor Albert Rodríguez, who passed away last Monday at the age of 58.
“A big hug to all his family and fellow theater actors, fellow colleagues of Wapa Televisión, to all those who, in one way or another, played Albert with his talent and his sense of humor, with his gift of people”, said Raymond Arrieta accompanied by the cast of the space, including René Monclova and Jorge Castro, good friends of Rodríguez.
In this sense, Arrieta acknowledged that “today we are going to do what Albert certainly had to do many times: go out with great sadness to fulfill our calling, try to make our audience laugh.”
Arrieta also asked the audience in the studio and at their homes to honor the director and educator once again with applause.
It should be noted that Wapa TV will be performing the special Goodbye to a friend tomorrow at 10pm, led by Sunshine Logroño and the cast of El Remix, where the comedian has worked for the past few years.
Rodríguez’s funeral will take place next Thursday at the Braulio Castillo Theater in Bayamón and the funeral will take place in Añasco, where his family is from.
