Rapper OG YD is identified as a victim of fatal highway shootings in his native San Diego
San Diego authorities on Thursday identified rapper Martell ‘OG YD’ Dean as a victim of a fatal highway shooting in his native San Diego.
Dean, 37, was one of three people in a vehicle heading south on Interstate 805 that was shot at, the California Highway Patrol told The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Two people were shot in the incident, which took place near Imperial Avenue at around 2:20 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Dean died in a hospital, while the other shooting victim was expected to recover, police said.
A video from OnScene TV showed first responders leaning towards Dean next to a white Dodge Charger riddled with bullet holes.
In the clip, another man was seen bleeding with a cloth tied around his arm.
OG YD was successful on his YouTube account, with nearly 10,000 views on the video for his track Tag and over 8,000 views for his track Came From Nothin.

CHP officer Mary Bailey told the newspaper that no suspect has been identified in the ongoing investigation.
