Ramón Alburquerque: “Abinader is not the only one” who aspires to be a presidential candidate

The former president of the Senate and member of the executive leadership of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Ramón Alburquerque, revealed that he could present his candidacy to aspire to the presidency of the Republic for that organization.

Albuquerque, one of the founders of the PRM, told the TV show “La Hora 22”, which is broadcast on Teleradio América (TRA), that it is considering submitting his candidacy for that political entity’s presidential nomination.

During the same interview, he rejected the reelection movements of sectors in the government, stating that President Luís Abinader is “not the only one” who has the right to re-present himself for presidential nomination.

Pure theater ‘

Alburquerque, described as “pure theater,” the public letter that President Abinader sent to Presidency Minister José Ignacio Paliza, of whom he did not speak of presidential reelection, just months after the current government was installed.

“And you believe that from that letter supposedly addressed to Paliza, some people who are together … a minister who won’t speak if they don’t approve, but who are they going to leave with that theater,” said the former lawmaker. .

In addition, he urged government officials to spend more time resolving the country’s serious problems, rather than devoting time and resources to launch a reelection campaign.
