Rachael Kirkconnell was spotted visiting “Bachelor” star Matt James’ Manhattan apartment on Wednesday amid rumors that they are dating.
Kirkconnell, a graphic designer from Georgia, seemed to have easy access to James’ home on One Manhattan Square, as a source from Page Six said she appeared to have a key when she entered the building without buzzing.
Another source said Kirkconnell, who dumped James after hearing she posted racially insensitive photos, left the home of the former “ Bachelor ” frontman while running errands in other parts of New York at around 2:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
Paparazzi photos then captured the reality star taking a walk in Chinatown, near James’ Lower East Side neighborhood, wearing a black tank top, casual gray sweaters, white sneakers and a face mask. She was also seen with an iced coffee.
Rumors first started circulating that Kirkconnell and James, 29, could rekindle their relationship after a fan claimed he saw the pair walking together in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
“Bachelor” spoiler king Reality Steve then fueled the speculation by tweeting, “It’s been a while, but here’s some news: Matt and Rachael? Yeah, they’re not over yet.”
Before news of Kirkconnell’s visit to James’ house got out, a source close to the couple insisted they weren’t back together because James “wasn’t ready to get into a relationship right now.”
The former couple met on season 25 of “The Bachelor,” which starred James and Kirkconnell on the series finale – though they didn’t get engaged.
The pair revealed in “After the Final Rose” that they split while the show aired after photos of Kirkconnell surfaced online at an Antebellum themed party in 2018 and received a backlash.
“It’s heartbreaking, it’s disappointing,” James said of the split. “When I questioned our relationship, it was in the context of [Rachael] I don’t understand my blackness … that’s why we can’t be in a relationship. “
Shortly after the breakup, Kirkconnell was shocked on Instagram that she was struggling, adding, “I truly believe he was the love of my life. He will always hold a piece of my heart.”
James said in March that he focused on himself, saying, “I’m working on myself. I’m not dating. “
A representative for James did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
