R. Kelly has reportedly been given the COVID vaccine pending allegations of child sex

R. Kelly reportedly received both shots of a COVID-19 vaccine while being held in an Illinois prison on serious allegations of child sex.

The “I Believe I Can Fly” singer – who repeatedly tried to be released due to the dangers of the pandemic – is one of more than 60 inmates at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, according to TMZ, to be fully vaccinated.

The 47-year-old received his first injection in January and the second this month, the outlet said. It was not clear which vaccine he was receiving.

The singer – real name Robert Kelly – is awaiting trials in Illinois and New York on charges including sexually assaulting underage girls, producing child pornography and destroying evidence.
