Puppy stolen from the family’s house in Warren, brought back safely by the police

WARREN, me. – Eight-week-old Bella, an American bulldog, was a Christmas present for Ashley Swinton and her children.

“We got her two days before Christmas, and just a few days ago I had food delivered,” she said.

Swinton ordered food through Door Dash. Bella was hanging out on the locked porch of the Warren house when the driver was caught on camera dropping off the food and leaving with Bella.

“They (the family) originally thought the dog had just come out of the room,” said Warren Police Department Detective Brian Price.

When Bella was nowhere to be seen, the family checked the surveillance cameras to see what was happening.

‘You can’t trust anyone. You just can’t, ”Swinton said.

Swinton called Door Dash and got nowhere. Then she went to Warren Police, who tracked down the driver and Bella. The puppy is now home again.

“In the end it was the children’s Christmas present. I’m glad the dog has returned to them, ”Price said.

Police arrested the driver who took the dog.
