Lionel MessiMissed penalty kick on Paris Saint Germain left Wednesday evening Barcelona feeling an all too familiar feeling.
The Catalans have missed six of the 15 penalties they have received this season between LaLiga Santander, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
Barcelona however, had had no problems converting 12 meters in Europe before Wednesday.
Actually, Messi had scored five penalties in the competition – against Ferencvaros, Juventus, Dynamo Kiev and Paris Saint-Germain at the Nou Camp. Martin Braithwaite and Ousmane Dembele also scored their own.
In LaLiga Santander, however, their problems are more apparent.
They got a total of six and only scored three. Braithwaite missed against Eibar, Messi against Valencia, and Antoine Griezmann against Real Betis.
Their worst record is in the Copa del Rey. They received two penalties and missed both, with Dembele and Miralem Pjanic guilty of missing out on those two chances.
