Demand for the PS5 is outstripping supply, preventing many from buying a next-gen console. Sony has suggested it will make more units in 2021, after gathering additional parts inventory from some of its key manufacturing partners. However, it is warned that due to a shortage of semiconductor components there is no quick solution for the current stock situation.

Keep in mind that stores were quite random with available inventory, although we try to make sure this page is as accurate as possible.

In North America, more PS5 stock is being made to order. Here’s where and when you can buy a PS5 in the US and Canada:
PlayStation Direct
PlayStation Direct is at the moment OUT OF STOCKalthough new PS5 shares have been added at random times so it’s always worth keeping an eye out for. Unfortunately, Sony has not yet communicated when new stock will be available in 2021 and has randomly released inventory in the past, meaning you should keep a close eye on the following product pages if you want to secure a system. The website usually starts a queue before new units are available and the last had stock January 27, 2021.
Amazon USA
Amazon is currently OUT OF STOCK. Check back later for updates. As one of the largest retailers in the United States, we are still waiting for communication from Amazon about when new inventory will be available. The shipments are expected in February 2021, but we will keep you informed when exactly they will be available.
Best Buy
Best Buy is currently OUT OF STOCK. Check back later for updates.
GameStop
GameStop is currently on OUT OF STOCK. Check back later for updates.
Walmart
Walmart is currently OUT OF STOCK online. However, we are seeing reports of people having limited success visiting brick-and-mortar stores. If you can get there safely it may be worth a try, although in the current climate we highly recommend calling ahead if possible to avoid unnecessary visits.

Amazon UK is currently OUT OF STOCK. Check back later for updates. Amazon UK previously received a batch of PS5 consoles in early December 2020, with more inventory expected in February 2021. However, it is not yet known when those units will be available.
Argos
Argos is currently OUT OF STOCK. The retailer last made a “small number” of consoles available January 26, 2021.
Currys PC World
Currys PC World is currently on OUT OF STOCK. The retailer last received PS5 supply in January 2021. Check back later for updates.
GAME
GAME is currently OUT OF STOCK. The retailer last received PS5 supply in January 2021. Check back later for updates.

Smyths Toys is currently OUT OF STOCK. The retailer’s website states that it will take more PS5 inventory in February 2021.
