STOCKHOLM, Sweden. – Even the coronavirus pandemic has not stopped Princess Sofía Cristina from her job as honorary president of Sophiahemmet Hospital, where she has helped provide care along with nurses and doctors.
SVT, a local television station, published a note detailing the jobs that members of the royal family have performed, highlighting what Princess Sofia has done, helping to cook and clean hospital facilities such as hallways and toilets.
“I felt I should help as I could,” said Sofía, who has been supporting the hospital since April, the month in which the coronavirus health problems in Europe are gaining momentum.

A few weeks ago, Sofia along with her husband, Prince Carlos Felipe, tested positive for the virus. They suspect that both might have been infected by the princess’s work in the hospital.
According to reports from Johns Hopkins University, Sweden has 367,120 infections and 7,993 deaths, that is, they represent a 2% mortality from coronavirus.
