Prince Harry lands in the UK for grandfather’s funeral

Prince Harry arrived at London’s Heathrow Airport from Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon, ahead of the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, in six days, according to reports.

Harry’s arrival in London at around 1:15 p.m. local time marked his first time home since his famous departure from the royal family.

The prince, who was dragged off the tarmac in a black Range Rover, was wearing chinos, a coat and a black face mask, sources told The Sun.

He is expected to spend time in quarantine before attending the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral on Saturday – which is expected to be a hushed affair due to the coronavirus.

Only 30 people will attend the ceremony, in accordance with the country’s strict limits for group gatherings.

However, Harry will be wearing his military uniform during the event, The Sun said. He is no longer allowed to be in uniform because he gave up his honorary title when he left the royal family last year.

Prince Charles, Prince William and Prince Edward are expected to wear ceremonial outfits, the Sun said – while Prince Andrew will be wearing a suit after stepping back from public life for his connection to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Harry’s wife Meghan Markle, 39, will not be attending – because she is pregnant, according to reports.
