Prince Harry and Meghan send a wreath with the national flower of Greece

Prince Harry and Meghan send a wreath and handwritten message for Prince Philip’s funeral.

The Duchess of Sussex has not been able to attend Prince Philip‘s personal funeral because of the advanced stage of her pregnancy.

Among the wreaths, which lay just below Prince Philip’s casket, was the beautiful handmade wreath sent by Meghan and Harry – made from locally sourced purple and blue flowers, by Willow Crossley – one of the Duke and Duchess’s favorite florists .

Some of the included flowers had meaning as well – acanthus mollis (bear breeches) is the national flower of Greece, where the duke was born, while the flowers eryngium (sea rice) were also included, for its time with the Royal Marines.

More than 13 million people voted to watch the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral as it was broadcast on the BBC
