Prince Harry accused of overshadowing the Queen with an interview with James Corden

Critics have reportedly called the timing of Prince Harry’s recent interview with James Corden as “unhelpful” as he diverted attention from Queen Elizabeth’s COVID-19 vaccination.

“When the Queen speaks, as she has done about the vaccine, it is accepted that she has a free field,” a source told the Daily Mail of Harry’s appearance Thursday on “The Late Late Show With James Corden.”

News of Harry’s late-night chat filled the British media Friday morning, hours after the Queen attempted to boost the vaccine with an address encouraging the British public to prick, according to Sky News.

She even tried to get attention by talking about her own health issues – an extraordinary step she rarely takes – and saying it ‘didn’t hurt at all’ when she got the shot.

Royals pundit Robert Jobson believes the timing of the predictable ramifications of Harry’s talk show performance is trampling the Queen’s important pandemic message.

“Timing is everything, isn’t it,” he told the Daily Mail. “On the day the Queen released a very, very important message that the whole country got the shot, that message has faded a little bit by Harry, the man who wants a private life, and talks about his private life again. ”

Harry’s conversation with Corden was filmed before the Queen confirmed that Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were retiring as senior royals.

During his Los Angeles TV foray with Corden, Harry shared that he never intended to give up his position entirely.

“It never walked away – it was a step back, instead of stepping down,” he told Corden. He also alleged that the British press was wreaking havoc on his mental health.

Corden could have aired the interview Thursday in an attempt to beat Oprah Winfrey, as the media icon has also concluded an interview with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“While The Queen urges us to think of others, Prince Harry is jumping around LA making the absurd claim that he has not run away from the royals,” Royals pundit Phil Dampier told the Daily Mail. ‘What planet is he on? Hollywood I think. “
