Prince Charles ‘deeply hurt’ by Prince Harry’s interview: report

Prince Charles is determined to mend “the broken relationship” with son Prince Harry – even though he remains “deeply hurt” by his devastating TV everything, according to a report.

The 72-year-old heir to the throne faced some of the most severe attacks during the interview – and reportedly initially wanted to refute his son and daughter-in-law’s allegations point by point.

But “after much thought, he also realizes that nothing good will come from prolonging the fight,” one of Charles’ friends told The Mail on Sunday.

He feels it is time to heal. Now is the time to mend a broken relationship, ”the friend reportedly said.

“His temper is that of a father, not that of a statesman,” the friend told the outlet.

During the interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry said he was “hurt” and felt “abandoned” to buy his father, and admitted that it would take a lot of work to heal the relationship.

Still, Charles plans to “get in touch” in the coming weeks, “possibly in writing, possibly via video call,” the source told the British newspaper.

“The prince has a real desire to return to the close relationship he has had with Harry the longest,” said the friend.

Charles’ wife, Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, comforts him, the source said. She can see how upset her husband is. She just wants to make it, ”the friend said.
