Andrés hopes things can change as a result of his father’s funeral. The event will be televised this Saturday, April 17. For the occasion, as the protocol states, Queen Elizabeth II is forced to decide what rank of military uniform the Duke of York can wear, who asked to use that of admiral.

Last year he was to be promoted to admiral on his 60th birthday, but he offered to put it off until he cleared his name and returned to his public duties.

Now the 61-year-old prince has caused unrest in Buckingham Palace after telling his mother and top officials he wanted to attend the funeral as an admiralThe queen, who lives days of deep mourning, will have to make a decision over the next 24 hours.
