President Abinader attends the graduation from the Naval Academy

President Luis Abinader led the sixty-ninth midshipmen graduation ceremony of the Cesar de Windt Lavandier Naval Academy this Friday.

The Promotion of Graduates in Naval Sciences It consists of seven ladies and twenty gentlemen who joined this academy in 2016 and from now on will serve the Dominican State to exercise control over the sea area.

The honor graduated corresponded to fourth-year midshipman Alberto Locadio Santana, who received an award from the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa.

While the distinguished midshipman was recognized in Milagros del Carmen Urriola Palacio, Panamanian.

The 27 lieutenants received the command label from the president.

“ I want to greet and congratulate you, ” the president said to the mothers of the graduates, who a few minutes earlier they had given their children the new kepi during the excitement of graduation.

Present at the ceremony were the Minister of Youth, Luz del Alba Jiménez; the head of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Franklin García Fermín; the Mayor of Santo Domingo Este, Manuel Jiménez.

The Ambassador of Argentina, the Ambassador of Panama and senior officials from Colombia and the United States also participated in the graduation.
