Saturday’s winning numbers were: 14-26-38-45-46- Powerball: 13
The Mega Millions jackpot is even bigger, causing lottery fever across the country.
Here’s what you need to know about both awards:
Powerball
The Powerball jackpot had grown to $ 550 million (cash value: $ 411.4 million) on Sunday morning, the largest potential prize since March 2019.
Powerball officials say it could be the 9th largest grand prize in the history of the game.
The next draw will take place on Wednesday January 13th.
While no one won the grand prize, two tickets matched all five white balls to win $ 1 million. Those tickets were sold in Pennsylvania and Florida.
The Powerball jackpot was last won in New York in the September 16, 2020 draw.
“It’s been a few years since the games offered such huge jackpots at the same time, and our players are for it,” said May Scheve Reardon, Chairman of the Powerball Product Group and Executive Director of the Missouri Lottery.
The Powerball game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands.
Mega Millions
The Mega Millions jackpot hit $ 600 million for the fourth time in history.
Many lottery players are hoping for their chance at fortune, as no ticket matched all six numbers drawn on Friday night.
Friday’s winning numbers were: 18, 3, 58, 16, 6 and a Megaball of 11.
While no one won the Mega Millions jackpot earlier this week, five tickets match all five white balls, making players in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New York millionaires.
Four of the winners won $ 1 million, and the New York winner bought the optional Megaplier and boosted their prize to $ 2 million.
Our sister broadcaster WABC-TV reported that the $ 2 million winning ticket was purchased from Citgo Mart in Middletown, Orange County, and the $ 1 million winning ticket was sold at Masso’s Deli & Pizzeria in Gibbsboro, New Jersey.
