Each generation is still a world standard among high-performance sports cars. The 911 Turbo also combines sportiness with ease of use, dynamism with reliability and excellent performance with efficiency. The final 2 + 2 seater is more than twice as powerful as the original Turbo, which was powered by a single turbocharged 3.0-liter boxer engine and delivered 256 hp. The new 3.7-liter boxer engine has increased its power and now features two symmetrical Variable Geometry (VTG) turbochargers with electronically controlled wastegate valves. Together with the redesigned turbo cooling system and the use of piezo injectors, it manages to improve response, torque, performance and the ability to increase revs.

The chassis and body are wider. The front axle is more precise in its behavior thanks to a 42 millimeter wider track and new 255/35 tires in combination with 20 inch wheels. Traction Management Control (PTM) can transfer more torque to the front wheels, while traction to the rear steering axle also improves, with a track width that is 10 millimeters wider and 315/30 wheels on hoops. 21 inches (an inch more than the front).

The renewed braking system is even more powerful and recognizable by the red fixed calipers that are standard. The gray cast iron discs have a diameter of 408 mm at the front (28 mm more than before) and are 36 mm thick (2 mm more). On the rear axle, the thickness of the discs is 30 mm and their diameter is 380 mm.

The 911 Turbo is equipped for the first time with an optional sports exhaust system. Also new are the two different chassis options out there. The standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) offers more adjustment options between comfort and sportiness, is firmer than before and lowers the body by 10 millimeters with the electronically controlled sport damping. The configuration is aimed at improving the dynamics of the car and provides even more stability at high speeds, such as when the vehicle is used on racing circuits. The options of the active hydraulic roll stabilization system, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) and the ceramic braking system, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB), with ten-piston fixed front-axle brake calipers, further upgrade the vehicle’s dynamic characteristics.

The basic elements of the modern interior match those of the rest of the 911 Carrera and include the Porsche Advanced Cockpit and Direct Touch Control. The central screen of the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is 10.9 inches in size and can be operated quickly and without distraction thanks to the new architecture. The extensive and high-quality equipment list includes the 14-way electrically adjustable sports seats, the Sport Chrono package, a multifunctional GT steering wheel with gearshift paddles and a switch for the driving modes, as well as the powerful surround system. of BOSE® sound.
