With the new orders from the Puerto Rico government to address the proliferation of COVID-19 coronavirus cases, a Puerto Rico police officer used official equipment to make xenophobic remarks and use profanity.

In the Condado area, a patrol led civilians and restaurant owners using the patrol’s loudspeaker, closing businesses at 9:00 AM.
In the video where the situation was recorded, a person replying that it was 8:00 am, at which point the officer got upset and started answering him.

“Don’t be a funny fool, go back to your country and make those comments,” commented the uniformed man inside the patrol. However, the officer did not stop and continued: “There is always someone who comes from another country to make stupid comments and not even slap. Mexican commuter …”.

Changes to the new executive order began last Friday as a result of the reported increase in COVID-19 coronavirus on the island. Businesses close at 9:00 am and curfew at 10. The sale of alcoholic drinks is prohibited from 9:00 pm.
