A Central Florida teacher was behind bars after police said she fought a group of students outside a fast food restaurant after a high school basketball game.

NBC partner WFLA-TV reports that the incident took place Friday in Bartow, where a group of students were involved in an altercation during the match. Then the group went to a McDonald’s area to eat.

At the restaurant, Liquindella Clark – a Polk County teacher and the mother of another teen who was reportedly involved in the first altercation at school – approached the group and began to argue with them, Bartow police said.

Clark was removed from the restaurant but waited in the parking lot and reportedly began physically fighting the group. Police say Clark punched a student in the face, removed her wig, and punched a second student in the head.

Witnesses called the police, who arrived and arrested Clark. She is charged with child abuse in the case. Officials have not said whether she will be suspended pending an investigation.
