Dariel Bravo Rivera, 30, was arrested tonight at his home in Río Piedras, following a complaint from 19-year-old Victoria Pizarro Ayala, via a video posted on a social platform claiming to be the victim of a patron of intimidation of your neighbor.
“As a result of the young woman and her family’s public complaints this morning, and in view of the Stalking Law and Executive Order 2021-13, issued by Governor Pedro Pierluisi, I have decided to activate the existing protocol for these types of cases to protect the complainant, ”said the police commissioner, Antonio López Figueroa.
“We will follow up on this case and we trust the Court will protect this young woman with the diligence she deserves,” added the police commissioner.
Pizarro Ayala told in a live video the moment when the man came to the balcony of his house to try to open the door while she was alone. He also denounced an alleged pattern of harassment since 2018 by who his neighbor is. For this reason, the young woman claimed that her family has turned to court on several occasions to stalk warrants.
Officer Juan Ramos Rivera arrested Bravo Rivera at around 10:45 PM for elements that could constitute a serious crime under Law 284 of stalking. The case will be consulted with the public prosecutor tomorrow.
