Pokemon Coco is the most recent movie to join the franchise, and fans are eager to see this jungle adventure following its grand premiere in Japan in the United States. The film, which was released in Japan on Christmas Day, has since shared some very intriguing details with fans about the leads. And thanks to some romanization of the movie, fans have learned a little bit of advice Ash got from … his dad ?!
Yes that’s right! It seems Ash Ketchum knows who his father is, and the boy remembers some advice he got from his old man. Earlier this month, fans were told of Pokemon Coco director Tetsuo Yajima that Ash’s father would tie in with his story, and that’s because our hero got solid advice from his doll.
According to the novel of the movie, Ash has a brief conversation with Coco about his father. The moment comes when Ash tries to interact with Coco when it comes to fathers, as the newcomer disagrees with Zarude, his adoptive father. There, Ash shares the wise words his father gave him after some local kids laughed at his dreams.
“When I was little, I was laughed at by my friends for my dreams. And every time I started sulking, my dad said this to me: ‘The map to your goals is inside you. If you give up now, your dreams won’t come. out. ” (via Dogasu Backpack)
Ash’s father clearly knew how to inspire as Ash needed this quote. The boy hasn’t given up on his dream of becoming a Pokemon Master, and his dad seems to have pushed Ash in that direction. All fans need is meet the guy and hear these words firsthand!
