Finally, Vanillite, the ice-shaped Pokémon, is added Pokémon Go.
As part of a holiday event running from December 22 at 8 a.m. to December 31 at 10 p.m. in your local time, Ice Type Pokémon and Pokémon will spawn in holiday costumes. Outside of the beautiful and cute Vanillite that will be added to the game (as well as the Vanillish and Vanilluxe evolutions), the highlight of the event is the special bonuses that are triggered at specific times, which you can see below:
- Dec 22 at 12 noon to Dec 23 at 11:59 pm – Doubled raid XP
- December 24 at 12 noon to December 25 at 11:59 pm – Double candy
- December 26 at 12 noon to December 27 at 11:59 pm – Duration of the double asterisk
- Dec 28 at 12 noon to Dec 29 at 11:59 pm – Doubled Lucky Egg Duration
- December 30 at 12 noon to December 31 at 11:59 pm – Doubled catch of Stardust
Other Christmas-themed perks such as special stickers, avatar clothing items and the like are also available during the event period. There will also be some event field research jobs that will reward Vanillite and Cryogonal.
Pokémon Go is currently in the middle of the current season, known as the season of the celebration. Developer Niantic announced the new season structure of the mobile game in November.
