PlayStation players discover the secret PS5 DualSense Controller feature

The PS5 has been out since November, but PlayStation players on Reddit are still discovering features that many have overlooked. With the Xbox Series X, Xbox gamers have not had an adjustment period, and this is because the Xbox Series X UI is the same as the Xbox One UI and the Xbox Series X controller is essentially the same as the Xbox One controller . For the PS5, Sony has not only completely overhauled the PS4’s user interface, but it has also released a brand new controller that is so different that it broke the company’s DualShock naming convention. In other words, PlayStation players are still learning about their PS5. For example, if you press and hold the PS button on the DualSense controller for 10 seconds, the controller will turn off.

This isn’t the only DualSense feature many players have overlooked. Did you know you can mute all audio if you press and hold the controller’s mute button for a few seconds? If you haven’t, don’t worry, many on the PS5 Reddit page had no idea any of these features existed, and that’s because the PS5 isn’t relaying this information.

Of course, it’s entirely possible you already knew both useful features existed, but since the Reddit post reveals they’ve shot to the top of the page, it’s safe to assume that most of you reading this aren’t knew about any of these shortcuts, as did anyone of the 400 people who replied to the post.

As always, feel free to leave a few comments to let us know what you think or, alternatively, report me on Twitter @RTLnews and let me know there. Did you know about these two DualSense features?
