HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) – Pink’s hot dog stand in Hollywood has been closing for a few months since Sunday.
On Sunday there was a long queue around the building, customers came by to get their fill for the temporary closure.
Steven Lee was first in line in the morning.
“I had to come as soon as I heard that they will be closed for two months because my birthday is February 21st – and this is usually one of my stops. So I’ll have a few to freeze I guess.”
The owners say that, with the capacity of local hospitals, they don’t want to risk an employee or client getting sick during the current COVID-19 spike.
This is only the second shutdown for Pink’s in its 81-year history. The first was five months at the start of the pandemic last year.
Pink’s hopes to reopen in March.
