Piers Morgan declined to return on Monday over his allegations against Meghan Markle – he insisted during an explosive TV interview that “the delusions” lied during her famous Oprah Winfrey-everything.
The controversial British TV personality demanded that Markle start calling names when it came to her claim she went to a senior royal to say she was suicidal over palace life – only to be turned down because she was told ‘it wouldn’t good for the institution. ”
‘You accuse … people in the palace of being unspeakably cruel simply to protect the royal family’s brand. If that’s true, then let’s name these people, and let’s go to them and ask them if this is true, “Morgan interviewer Tucker Carlson told about “Fox Nation”, referring to Markle.
Did you tell a suicidal woman who told you she was suicidal, that she shouldn’t get help? Because I can’t possibly believe that, ”Morgan said.
“Here we are a month later, and frankly – I’ve had plenty of time to think about this – I still don’t believe what they said,” he added of Markle and her husband Prince Harry, who also spoke with Winfrey.
Seventeen different claims from the two have now proven completely untrue or hugely exaggerated or unprovable. I don’t understand why I have to believe people who aren’t telling the truth.
“There are so many ridiculous whoppers in this interview who honestly end up saying that I would believe they would be the same as saying I believe Pinocchio. Why would I?”
The former talk show host lamented being trashed by the “awakened brigade” and “liberal bullies” – all because he had just expressed his opinion.
“It’s not really about Meghan Markle – she’s a delusional duchess who wants to make millions from the royals while wrecking family,” Morgan said. “It’s really about freedom of speech.”
But by continuing to include Markle, Morgan also resisted the suggestion she made to Winfrey that her son, Archie, would not be given assurance or a royal title because he is of mixed race.
“It is not just the feeling that her lived experience is untrue, it is factually false,” Morgan said of the allegation. “That boy would never become a prince until Prince Charles, Harry’s father, became king after the death of the queen.
“So for Meghan Markle to try to make a story that says the decision not to give Archie the title of prince based on his skin color is a lie.”
Morgan quit the popular UK talk show “Good Morning Britain” after the interview last month, following a clash with a co-star over claims made by Markle and Harry.
Morgan admitted to Carlson that he shouldn’t have been stalking mid-air on the show, but added, “ I was upset because I felt there was a growing sense that if you didn’t believe Meghan in everything she said, you were the problem, you were the racist, there could be no way she was lying, ”the Sun reported.
He said he was later told by showexecs to apologize – or else.
Morgan said he had been walking west London before deciding he wouldn’t be “Bullied by the awakened brigade” and said to his graduates, “On a fundamental point of principle, I’m not going to apologize for not believing Meghan Markle.”
He said he was “disgusted” by that one-time “friend” and CNN presenter Don Lemon later accused him of committing an “act of racism” for doubting Markle.
Morgan added that he still feels bad for British boyfriend Sharon Osbourne, who left CBS TV’s ‘The Talk’ amid allegations of racist behavior and after defending him on Twitter.
“It’s disturbing to see a good friend of mine taken down,” Morgan said to Carlson. “Sharon was deliberately removed … all because she dared to tweet that I was entitled to my own opinion.”
