Phoebe Bridgers goes to Marilyn Manson’s house

“I support everyone who came forward.”

Earlier this week, actor Evan Rachel Wood, along with four women, came forward with allegations that ex-fiancé Marilyn Manson had horribly abused and manipulated her.

Earlier today, singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers emerged on Twitter to describe her own experience with Manson – particularly when she went to his house ‘with some friends’ as a teenager.

Bridgers released her second album, Punisher, rave reviews last year; she has won four Grammys this year, including Best New Artist.

“I was a huge fan,” she explained. He called a room in his house the ‘rape room’. I thought it was just his awful sense of humor. I’m no longer a fan. ‘

In a follow-up tweet, Bridgers claimed that “The label knew, the management knew, the band knew,” and that “Now stepping back, pretending to be shocked and shocked, is damn pathetic.”

Since Wood and other prosecutors came forward, Manson’s record label Loma Vista and his booking agent have both dropped him. An episode of the Starz show American gods that he would appear has also been drawn.

Yesterday, Manson’s ex-wife Dita Von Teese released a statement claiming, “The details disclosed do not match my personal experience during our 7 years together as a couple.” She also urged “those of you who have taken advantage of it to take steps to heal and have the strength to fully realize yourselves.”
