Phillip Lindsay agrees with Houston Texans

Former Denver Broncos, Phillip Lindsay, has a new home.

Lindsay (5-8, 190 pounds) has agreed to one one-year deal with the Houston Texans, his agent announced on Twitter Friday night. The contract is worth it $ 3.25 million, according to multiple reports.

Lindsay was born and raised in the Denver area and played college football in Colorado. He signed with the Broncos as a college-free agent in 2018, becoming the first undesigned offensive rookie in NFL history to make it to the Pro Bowl after rushing more than 1,000 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns in his first season.

Lindsay had another 1,000-meter season in 2019, but Denver overtook Melvin Gordon to serve as the team’s new workhorse in 2020. Lindsay fought through several injuries last season and had the worst year of his career, with just a total of just 500 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown.

In Houston, Lindsay will likely compete for rotational playtime with David Johnson and Mark Ingram, who signed a one-year deal with the Texans earlier this month.
