He was about to answer a question about mental health, but had to put down his cellphone to find his keys.

“I just moved out of my mom’s house,” he said when he entered his new apartment. ‘I’m completely out of it. I have a notepad. ‘

“This is my bedroom where nothing happens because I live with my mother,” he joked at the time.

During a Saturday Night Live sketch in February, Pete said there were plans to finally leave the nest.

“In some ways I love the pandemic Valentine’s Day because it wasn’t my fault the first time I was alone,” he said. ‘I’ve been eating chocolates all night and watching a movie with my mom, so I’m officially leaving the house. One of us has to go. ‘
