As we reported earlier this month, NZXT’s (admittedly beautiful) H1 case had a problem where it literally could at one point burst into flamesThe company reluctantly apologized, but that process has now turned into a full “recall” for more than 30,000 cases.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a full recall last week, which, despite the name, does not actually mean that the items will be returned. Instead, their advice is to “stop using the case” – easier said than done if it’s your PC – and buy a repair kit from NZXT, which includes a set of nylon screws that will not make a fire.
The message covers “about 32,000” boxes sold in the US, although the USCPSC notes “about 1,024 were also sold in Canada”.
