Patrick Mahomes, others beg Jaylen Waddle to leave the game

Entering Monday night’s national championship game between the state of Ohio and Alabama, many wondered if Crimson Tide star-wide receiver Jaylen Waddle could return from a broken ankle and play against the Buckeyes.

Well, after pre-game practice / test he was placed in the lineup for the first time since injuring Tennessee in late October and was seen hobbling the field making plays – he had two catches for 28 yards midway through the third quarter.

Many NFL players, including Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, took to Twitter to ask Nick Saban to pull Waddle out of the game, as he was clearly in pain and his health is so important going into this year’s NFL draft where he is expected to be picking a high and making a lot of money.
