Patrick Mahomes Favorite to Win Super Bowl LV MVP Award Over Tom Brady

Tom Brady has won more Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards than anyone else, but he is not the favorite to win the award in the LV edition.

Patrick Mahomes, quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, is the betting favorite to be named MVP of the next NFL title game, with a rating of -120 in William Hill’s Caesars Sportsbook. Brady is second with +190.

Mahomes won the Super Bowl MVP award last year after posting three touchdowns, including two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter that helped the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers and win the LIV edition with a score of 31-20.

Brady has been named MVP in four of his six Super Bowl wins, the most recent in 2017, when he helped the New England Patriots recover from a 28-3 deficit to defeat the Atlanta Falcons.

The quarterback of the winning teams has won the MVP award 29 times, including eight of the last 11 Super Bowls, but for the LV edition, there are intriguing players on both teams.

Catcher Tyreek Hill and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce bet 13-1. Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette is 25-1, followed by Kansas City running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to 30-1.

Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are also 30-1 apiece in the bets. Buccaneers linebacker Shaquil Barrett and Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu have the best defensive odds at 40-1.

Super Bowl LV will be played February 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The Chiefs are the three-point consensus favorites over the Buccaneers.
