The Dallas Morning News reported that ABC Party has added the piñata to its latest collection, with Cruz wearing his Texas flag face mask and a gray shirt and jeans, an outfit similar to what he wore when he landed back in Houston last week.

The senator faced outrage from voters and fellow lawmakers alike for leaving Texas as his home state was ravaged by a severe winter storm.

After the resistance, Cruz interrupted his journey and returned to the Lone Star State, later admit to reporters that his trip was a “mistake” and that “in hindsight I wouldn’t have done it.”

The Texas party store first unveiled the Cruz piñata Monday around noon, and by 5:00 p.m. that day had already had five or six orders, store owner Carlos De La Fuente told Morning News.

According to local NBC-affiliated station KXAS-TV, each piñata is handmade and takes about three to five days to complete. The 3 1/2-foot-tall Cruz piñata has a $ 100 price tag and currently has a two-week waiting list.

“Donald Trump broke the media, and that’s why they don’t want to do that,” Cruz said Monday afternoon during a performance on Conservative radio host Dana Loesch’s program. “They just want to commit political attacks.”

The Cruz family’s trip to Cancun came when millions of people in their home state were left without power for days in the midst of an unusual winter storm, with snow waves and freezing temperatures.

According to The Associated PressNearly 80 people died in Texas and other states affected by the storm, including fatalities from storm car accidents, carbon monoxide poisoning, hypothermia, drowning and home fires.
