In a video recording on YouTube, the head of the Executive revealed that on February 10, the arrival of Pfizer vaccines will resume with one million 500,000 additional doses, so they are expected to close in February. 6 million doses in total vaccines against Covid.
“I have worked, I have been very aware of all public affairs and very aware, especially of the pandemic. We try to continue and reinforce the same strategy which consists of the principle that no one misses a bed and that they have no shortage of doctors and nurses and equipment, and that there is no shortage of medicines in Covid hospitals, that everyone is treated . Fortunately, the circumstance did not surpass us and we were able to attend everything, ”he said.

The federal president recalled speaking with President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, on Monday, who offered to send 870,000 doses of the Sputnik vaccines to Mexico by the end of next week.

So I committed to that, I spoke to President Putin, who was very fraternal by the way and offered to send us vaccines, Sputnik a vaccine that they produce, and those vaccines will arrive in a few days, I think because by the end of next week those vaccines are starting to arrive ”.
He indicated that 870 thousand vaccines have also been obtained from the AstraZeneca laboratory in India and reported that on February 10, one million 500 thousand doses of the Pfizer vaccine will arrive.

“We are also getting vaccines separate from the agreement we have with them and that here in Mexico these vaccines are being developed, packaged, we are going to get them from India from the AstraZeneca laboratory. By February we will have about 870 thousand doses, the same as Sputnik, 870 thousand.
“We have already established a communication with Pfizer, I don’t know if I can tell you that I spoke to the Pfizer manager who promised to make us deliveries because it was suspended and it is very likely that from Monday February 10, deliveries will resume, “there will be like a million 500 thousand doses”.
President López Obrador indicated that the UN vaccine mechanism has guaranteed that Mexico will receive 1,800,000 additional doses, adding that studies are on the cusp of finalizing to approve the CanSino vaccine in Mexico.
