Aiming to train the new Hirving Lozano, of esports, Pachuca and PSG have signed an alliance

Pachuca worked with Paris Saint German (PSG) to build the division sport- and who in 10 years they dream of forging the best Mexican video game talent, as they did in football with Hirving Lozano.

“We started planning the project for a year, looking for different teams that already had an eSports division to advise us and the first to answer us was PSG,” Gil, Pachuca’s marketing director, explained Saturday. Efe. Marines.

PSG has had eSports teams since 2016 and is currently participating in League of Legends, FIFA, Dota 2 and Brawl Stars.

The Paris team has advised Pachuca on how to recruit players, what the ideal team models are, what video games they should play and their future prospects for electronic sports.

“What we’ve learned the most from PSG is their organization, they have advanced work, they hire gamers from other countries to join their teams, they are one step ahead of us in Mexico,” said Marines.

Pachuca has signed 25 gamers across six different games, League of Legends, Call of Duty, Clash Royale, Rainbow Six Siege, Fornite and FIFA, the only one in which they compete in an official League.

To decide on these titles, the marketing field conducted a social network survey in which voters concluded which were the most competitive gamers.

The Hidalgo team decided to participate in eSports not only because of the more than 55 million video players in Mexico who could be potential fans of the soccer team, but also because of the ability to set the standard in competitions and academically with their Soccer University.

“We are going to present a project to the board of directors to take courses for gamers at Universidad del Fútbol and, if all goes well, build a home for gamers that will serve as a hotbed for national talent,” Marines explains.

The center-country institution also aims to develop the field of sports medicine specializing in eSports, to train psychologists, physical trainers, and physiotherapists who serve professional players.

These plans will materialize in about four years, when the Marines estimate that they will have competitive teams in the major leagues.

“In 10 years, we want to have the best basic gamer strength in the country, as we are in football today, where talents like Hirving Lozano (attacker of Italy’s Napóles) and Héctor Herrera (Atlético de Madrid) come from,” said Marines . .

Pachuca Esports is in its first phase streaming video game tutorials on official social networks and in the near future they plan to have FIFA friendlies with teams like the Argentine Independiente and the Chilean Everton.
